Day 2 Airport - Negombo
You will be warmly received at the airport by your driver. He will also be your guide during the next two weeks. A short transfer brings you to Negombo. Negombo is the heart of the fishing industry in the West of Sri Lanka. It has beautiful beaches and is an ideal place to get your first impressions of this beautiful country. The modern luxury hotel is located directly on the beach and belongs to the small luxury hotels of the world. In the afternoon you make a short tour through the town and a nice boat ride on the lagoon.Stay on half pension basis.
Day 3 Negombo
Today you will stay the second day in Negombo. Your luxury hotel, as already stated, is by the beach. It has a very good kitchen and a luxurious modern look. The pool is adjacent to the beach under the palms you can just get out of the sun. Enjoy a drink while you sit in the pool with your feet and look out over the sea. In the evening you might find a beautiful sunset.Today stay on Half pension basis
Day 4 Negombo - Mihinthale - Anuradhapura
Today you start your Sri Lanka holiday. We drive you through the green interior of Sri Lanka to Anuradhapura. Along the way we drive through small villages, rubber plantations and rice fields along. Closer to Anuradhapura the landscape is becoming flatter and drier. We will visit in the afternoon the sacred mountain near Mihintale. Then it's only a short way to your luxury resort in the middle of greenery. It is a particular resort built around a Walawwa (this is an old colonial house). Almost all the rooms (bungalows) have their own pool here.
Day 5 Anuradhapura
During an extensive tour we show you all the sites, pagodas and temples in the ancient city of Anuradhapura. This former royal city has much to offer. Besides important and beautiful examples of ancient Buddhist temples, there are often the services going on or seated meditating people. You can easily spend a large part of the day here. Back at the resort will you lack nothing. The resort possesses a large nature reserve and is luxuriously furnished. If you don''t want to go for dinner in The Walawwa restaurant, one brings the sumptuous dinner to your bungalow which includes a seating area and a dining table Stay on Half pension basis
Day 6 Anuradhapura - Sigiriya - Habarana
We can take it easy today and drive you in the best hour to Sigiriya where you visit the famous Lion Rock in the afternoon. Halfway you will find frescoes dating from the 5th century, and on top of the rock are the remains of the castle and the pool of King Kassapa In the nearby town of Habarana your hotel is located near a large lake. It is the beautiful Cinnamon Lodge Hotel. Here you spend the next two nights. This is a nice hotel with a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. Another advantage of this hotel is her central location with regards to the attractions in the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. We stay on half board basis.
Day 7 Habarana - Polonnaruwa - Habarana
Today, another royal city of Polonnaruwa is on the program. It's clear to see that this royal city dates back to a period other than the previously visited Anuradhapura. Special images and the running monkeys in between set the scene here. In the museum you have a good impression of the wealth that was once here. Near Habarana there are some parks linked together to form a huge park with abundant wildlife. Minneriya is one of them. You go in the afternoon with an experienced ranger in his jeep to one of the parks. The Rangers talk with each on spots where most of the wildlife gathers. Our guests saw in August, during the great migration, a herd of more than a hundred elephants. You stay again in Habarana. Stay on Half board basis.
Day 8 Habarana - Kandy
On the way to Kandy we bring a visit to the sacred rock temple in Dambulla. In several caves hundreds of Buddha statues and murals can be seen. Near Matale there are the spice gardens of Sri Lanka. Here you will learn all about spices and herbs. In addition, this green area ideal to stop for a delicious lunch. Kandy is a beautiful city situated between the mountains. It is the second city of Sri Lanka. Here you will visit the temple of the tooth in the afternoon as the ceremony underway and it is the main temple of the country: Again, you will stay two nights in a luxury hotel.l. Day 9 Kandy
In the morning we visit Pinnawela, situated an hour's reach from Kandy. In this elephant orphanage we see elephants being cared for now for many years. There are usually about 60 to 70 elephants in the orphanage. Bathing the animals in the nearby river is a true spectacle. Back in Kandy we continue our exploration of the city with a sightseeing tour of the city where we visit the higher parts. Then you have a good view of the city. Stay on Half board basis.
Day 10 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
The ride into the mountains to Nuwara Eliya is interrupted by a visit to a tea factory. You drive already in an environment where the tea plantations dominate the landscape. you will surely find the traditional tea pickers. Yes tea plucking is a job for the ladies!. We visit the highlights of the town Nuwara Eliya with the guide and drive to a particular country house about 30 minutes away from Nuwara Eliya. This is a lovely place and quiet, surrounded by nature. Stay on Half board basis.
Day 11 Nuwara Eliya
The Horton Plains plateau is located above Nuwara Eliya. Previously, the wealthy English tea planters shot the leopards here. Of these, there are only a few left and they rarely show themselves. You make a nice walk to World's End where you can see to the southern Indian Ocean when clouds are clear and weather visible. You walk in about three hours along Bakers Fall's which is a beautiful waterfall. In the afternoon there is a a delicious high tea waiting for you in the beautiful country house where you spend the night. Stay on Half board basis.
Day 12 Nuwara Eliya - Galle
Today is a solid day of travel with a specific goal. We drive you to the tropical southwestern tip of Sri Lanka. Here you are staying near the Dutch star fort of Galle on the outskirts of the city. The Galle Lighthouse hotel is lying here on a rock right on the beach and is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. Before we go to the hotel, we obviously look at the fort in the city first. The fort was built by the Dutch as a stopover on its routes to the East. The Dutch influences are still evident today in the fort. You stay on half pension basis.

Day 14 Galle - Colombo
We drive you along the west coast to Colombo. On the way you visit Telwatta tsunami photo museum. A Dutch initiative in a village that has suffered seriously under the 2004 tsunami. In the afternoon we will show you the highlights of the capital. You stay in a luxury hotel right on the promenade right next to the Dutch Hospital, even such a gem that reminds you of bygone Colonial times. Accommodation is today in Colombo.. Stay on Half board basis.
Day 15 Colombo - Airport - Male - Rannalhi
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Male. With the airplane you are being brought to the international airport of Male and thereafter you are being taken to your hotel. Here you are being welcomed in an pleasant manner while you stay in a water villa.
Day 19 Hotel-Return Flight
Transfer to Male to take your return flight home.
